Show Notes

A wide-ranging discussion with British journalist Ray Connolly, who has the distinction of being friendly with both Lennon and McCartney in the 60s and 70s. Ray spent significant time with the Lennons from 1968 until 1980. He is a true insider, someone so deeply involved with the Beatles that he almost is a character in their story.

Diana and Ray discuss a number of topics including Lennon/Ono's relationship, The Breakup, Paul and Linda McCartney, The Lost Weekend, and the Lennon/McCartney partnership.

Ray is the author of many books including Being John Lennon: A Restless Life,  The Ray Connolly Beatles Archive, and Sorry, Boys, You Failed The Audition.  Most recently he wrote a radio play called Devoted, about his experience with Covid.
