Ray Connolly is a British journalist and writer. Ray is a true insider, someone who was so deeply involved with the Beatles that he almost is a character in their story. Ray also spent significant time with the Lennons from 1968 until 1980.

Ray has the distinction of having been friendly with both Lennon and McCartney—at one point even delivering messages between them when they could not talk to each other.

In this episode, Diana and Ray discuss a number of topics including Lennon/Ono's relationship, The Breakup, Paul and Linda McCartney, The Lost Weekend, and the Lennon/McCartney partnership.

Ray is the author of many books including Being John Lennon: A Restless Life,  The Ray Connolly Beatles Archive, and Sorry, Boys, You Failed The Audition. Most recently he wrote a radio play call Devoted, about his experience with Covid.
